Rosson House Museum
Rosson House is a 2,800 square foot Eastlake Victorian style home, built in 1895 by Flora and Roland Rosson. A classic example of the late Victorian style, it is fully restored to its original grandeur. Get a glimpse into the lives of the many people who have called this house a home, from its early years in territorial Arizona until its restoration in the 1970s. Guided tours feature all living areas of the house and highlight the stories, people and places that influenced the property and surroundings. Tours are available during regular business hours, and last 45-60 minutes. An admission fee is charged.
The restoration of Rosson House and the other historical buildings at Heritage & Science Park are the results of a community effort involving the City of Phoenix, dozens of local institutions, and hundreds of volunteers. It opened as a museum on May 4, 1980. Learn more about it by watching this video from Arizona PBS, made about 15 years after the home was restored.
